I am writing this bio in a very "generic" form so as not to reveal too much information. As I said in the introduction of the site, it is not that I am trying to hide from my identity but let's face the facts. If I were to put my name and the name of the church that I pastor then most of you would immediately start searching for denominational ties as well as other information which would put a "slant" on what you read. The truth is (there's that word again) that this problem occurs regardless of what denomination you belong to if you even belong to a denomination. This is a common thread to many shepherds of God's flock and that's how I want this site to be handled. Here is a short bio that will give you enough information about me to know that I have had experience in the battle that rages against shepherds and their families.

--I have been a Christian for 26 years now. I did not come from a "Christian" home.

--I have been married to a PK (Pastor's Kid) for 24 years and still going strong. Her father is a Pastor of 30+ years who has started several churches and served in many others so I have watched him through his struggles before entering my own.

--I have a daughter who is happily married to a man who is called to the ministry (ooy vay!) and they both serve in our church.

--I have a son who is going to do way more in the spirtual world than I have ever imagined and the calling on his life is unmistakable.

--I have taught in children's church, youth, college and career, Young Marrieds and of course from the pulpit.

--I have been "in the ministry" in one aspect or another for about 20 years. There was a couple of years that I did quit and just sat in a chair and did nothing but show up. However, I think it is of interest that it was only 10 years ago that I really felt "the call". Before that I was just serving out of a "sense of duty" as a Christian and because my Father-in-law was in the ministry. By the way, the quitting thing happened before the call.

--I served as an Associate Pastor at a church for 4 years.

--I am currently serving as a Co-Pastor in a church that God led us to start 6 years ago. Currently running about 120 people.

--Although I am a "full-time" Pastor, I recieve no compensation from the church. I have another full-time job that pays me.

--That's all you really need to know about me to know that I have some experience in the field.
